The pinnacle of life.

For the longest time, I’ve sat looking at the blank page, but being unable to figure out what it was I wanted to say. Under lockdown, I have become numb to creation, ignoring the rolling news coverage and the contemporary situation, instead indulging in menial tasks and endlessly scrolling on social media. Yesterday, I didn’t go out. I know that’s the advice, to stay at home and save lives, but when I say I didn’t go out, I didn’t even go out for my once-daily exercise. We’re all still trying to come to terms with this new normal, this new way of life, and I’m quickly learning what works, and doesn’t, for me.

A fool of myself.

Yesterday, I had a slight anxiety attack. The standard thoughts for me came into my head: What if I’m just an impostor? What if I’m not good enough? What if I fail? It’s timing couldn’t be more strange. The previous evening, I’d been introduced to a few people where my reputation had preceded me. As soon as they heard my name, they connected the dots in a positive way.

Around the corner.
