So if one thing comes from this seemingly endless terror, it is this: tomorrow and the day after, and the day after that continuously, we all need to take responsibility for our society.

The truth however, is that we live in a society where we are defined by not our own ideals, but the ideals others think we should live by.

Quite a few of the books I've read recently contain a notion of death in all its various forms, and frankly it is never too far away. From 'The Underground Railroad' to 'All The Beautiful Places', this classic ending of life, the great unknown and equaliser of man is a theme close to my heart right now.

I'm sat here, thinking about what I need to do in order to become a more rounded author or creative and in truth it's always the same part where I fall down – research.

What are we, but a collection of people all aiming for greater things, as if that is our destiny. And sure, some of us will achieve greatness in some way, shape or form.
