Today, the USA will open its new embassy to Israel in Jerusalem. It signifies a move to recognise the Israeli claim that this most sacred, contested city shall be its capital, but moves to enrage Palestinians and Arabs.

As I sat in Hyde Park, the sun with its golden glow, returning the trees to their shadows as it had done hours earlier, and the smell of weed and sound of gentle conversations drifted across the grass as contemporary music played from tinny speakers, a thought came into my head. Earlier today, there was tragic news that a ship carrying migrants had capsized off the Libyan coast. Again, there has been lose of life for almost all on board. As westerners, as Europeans, and most importantly as human beings, we need to act collectively to tackle this issue.

It's frankly ridiculous.

We are, today, marking a year since the election of Trump in the States, and what better way for Britain to show it's support than for scandal and mass-resignation in the heart of Government. Whether sending an aide to fetch sex toys or pretending to be on holiday whilst conducting secret meetings, it seems like Britain is once more in a precarious position.
